What Should You Expect
A relaxed, welcoming experience centered on God’s Word.

Before You Arrive
Before you arrive, our church dress is mostly casual. What is important is that you are here!
When You Arrive
Our doors are open by 8:30am on Sunday morning.
From the parking lot, the main entrance is on the right side of the building, and the door on the left side has a ramp for wheelchair and walker-assist access.
You’ll be greeted by friendly faces and can take a moment to get oriented. Feel free to arrive a few minutes early to settle in and ask any questions. Feel free to enjoy some tea or coffee.
Sunday School
Each Sunday morning, our doors are open by 8:30am. Sunday School takes place at 9:15 for children (K-5) and adults.
The Service
The Worship Service begins at 10:15am. We will sing several hymns and a contemporary song or two throughout the service. Announcements are shared, prayers and praises are offered and a message from God’s Word is preached. Expect the service to last between an hour and hour and 15 minutes.
Music & Worship
Worship music is meaningful and focused on honoring God. You don’t need to know the songs—many people simply listen and reflect.
Teaching & Message
Teaching is Bible-based, practical, and easy to follow, whether you’ve been attending church for years or are just beginning to explore faith.
After the Service
Many people stick around briefly to talk or ask questions, but there’s no pressure. We continue to serve tea and coffee. You’re welcome to connect—or head out whenever you’re ready, but we hope to meet you and get acquainted!

Common
Questions
Are you Amish or Mennonite? What’s the difference?
Great question — and one we hear often!
Springfield Bible Church has roots in the Mennonite tradition, but we are not Amish. While Amish and Mennonite communities share some historical origins, they are quite different in practice and belief. The Amish are known for plain dress, limited technology, and a very distinct separation from modern society. We don’t follow those practices.
As for our Mennonite heritage — we recently updated our name to Springfield Bible Church to better reflect who we are today: a warm, Bible-believing community focused on the truth of Scripture, welcoming anyone who wants to know Jesus Christ. Our name changed, but our heart didn’t.
Will I be singled out as a visitor?
No. You’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you’d like. There’s no pressure to stand, speak, or do anything you’re uncomfortable with.
What do you believe?
Springfield Bible Church is rooted in the teaching of the Bible and centered on the life and message of Jesus Christ. We hold to historic Christian beliefs and seek to live them out in everyday life. Read more about our beliefs here.
What do you have for kids?
We offer Sunday School for children and adults at 9:15 AM. Families are always welcome, and children’s ministries are an important part of our church.
What time should I arrive?
Our worship service begins at 10:15 AM. Many first-time visitors arrive 5–10 minutes early to get settled and find a seat.
